There was nothing we could have done for her, due to her old age, we couldn't risk surgery to remove the tumor. It just kept bleeding for days, it wouldn't stop. Just yesterday, she fell over in the hallway in front of me and died for a few moments, but came back. That was our signal that she needed to finally rest in peace.
She lived a good long 15 years. She did everything a young lab should do in their lifetime, go swim, hunt, fetch, so much. She even knows a lot of tricks, sit, beg, sleep, roll over, even high five. She was a fantastic dog. So many memories of her that I will always cherish.
She has lived a long and happy life, always wagging her strong tail of hers every day when we came home, i swear to god she was bound to break my leg with that tail of her, it was made of steel or something Lol. She always loved to play and run around, even when she couldn't she still stood up and chased after any toy in front of her, we almost seem to forget how old she actually is.
But, months pass by, we've noticed she hasn't been active as she use to, having trouble getting on the couch and getting off the couch, shes been eatting and drinking just fine. Until we noticed the tumor and thats what made her sick.
Shes at the doctors right now, being put down, I was with her before she left and gave my final tearful goodbyes, I can't bear to see her be put down, but at least she will see my mom and dad in her final moments, thats good enough for me.
Rest in Peace Bailey
We loved you very much, we are going to miss the hell out of you, you were one of the greatest dog we have ever had, we will never forget you <3
I know DA is for art only, but I cant help but put a memorial picture for her...its to always remember the memories of her, and she was a fantastic dog, I wanted some of you to get to see her as well.
